Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. He is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He is a Nigerian mother, and an American caucasian father. His father is Nigerian and his mother is an American of caucasian descent. He was a graduate of Sanderson High School in 2010 Then he went to Wake Forest University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 2015. James became famous when he became a reality television star in The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was chosen to be the new bachelor for The Bachelor's season 25, becoming his debut African American male lead which then aired on the show in 2021. James seemed to be the perfect choice for the job as the man is beautiful, tall and round and has a good sense of humor. Rachael Krakconnell was the one James had picked as his partner through the remainder of the season. James teamed up with famous dancing star Arnold in 2021 to compete in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James along with Arnold came in 12th place.
