Matthew Matt James, born on the 5th of December, 1991, from North Carolina. James is the daughter of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. Their father is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian American. He graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he earned an undergraduate degree in Economics from Wake Forest University. James made headlines when his role as a reality TV character on The Bachelorette. In the year 2020, he was selected to play the role of bachelor for The Bachelor's season 25 becoming one of the very only African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James's physique, appearance and personality were the perfect match for the role. Rachael Krakconnell, who James chose as his partner throughout the season. He teamed up with the famous dancer Arnold for the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold placed 12th.
