Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. Matthew Matt James is the father of Manny James, as well as Patty James of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian American. His father is Nigerian and his mother is a caucasian American. He completed his studies at Sanderson High School in 2010, then went on to Wake Forest University, where He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics in the year 2015. James' fame kick-started as he made his television debut as an on-screen reality TV star in The Bachelorette. In the year 2020, he was selected as the Bachelor for season 25, making him The only African American male lead which later premiered in 2021. James was the ideal candidate for the role as his height is tall, handsome and well-rounded with a sense comedy. The series ended when he picked Rachael Krkconnell to start an intimate relationship with the actress. He joined forces with famed choreographer Arnold in 2021. They competed on the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold finished 12th place.
